The Behringer COMPOSER PRO-XL MDX2600 V2 is a 1 RU dual-channel dynamics processor offering an array of switchable circuits and modes optimized for versatile mixing enhancement of instruments and vocals in studios and live stage applications. Link the channels when dealing with stereo sources such as drum overheads, or configure them independently for separate inputs such as lead and backing vocals. Each channel boasts an expander/gate, a compressor, two-stage peak limiting, an integrated de-esser, a dynamic enhancer, and a tube simulator.
Adjust attack and release times manually, or set them to auto mode for easier setup. Variable controls are also provided for threshold, ratio, output gain, de-esser level, and limiter level. The rear panel presents balanced XLR and 1/4" I/O, a dedicated switch for +4 dBu or -10 dBV operating levels, and 1/4" sidechain sends and returns, which allow processing of the internal sidechain through outboard gear, or routing an external sidechain into the MDX2600 V2. Additional sidechain functions include a listen mode and a switchable high-pass filter for fine-tuning your trigger signal.
