Meinl Percussion is a manufacturer of percussion instruments based in Gutenstetten, Germany since 1951. The company is one of the “big four” manufacturers of cymbals globally.
Initially, the company produced wind instruments, beginning the production of cymbals only in 1952. The first Meinl cymbals were cut out of large metal sheets, hammered, lathed and drilled by hand by Mr. Roland Meinl himself. He would then subsequently transport them to the rail station on the luggage carrier of his bike. Now, Meinl offers a vast range of products that meet almost every need while maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
